Company points out the three main risks if the driver does not change the component

São Paulo, maio de 2023 - A Niterra, Japanese multinational owner of the NGK and NTK brands and specialist in components for ignition systems, announces the expansion of its sensor portfolio, with the new model line of fuel level sensors marketed by the NTK brand.

 ;

The level sensor informs the volume of fuel in the tank of a vehicle. This data is available in the instrument panel and makes it possible to calculate the operating range of the engine. "In flex fuel cars, for example, This information is shared with the injection module to indicate that the car has been refueled. The sensor opens the identification window and points out the specific type of fuel used.", explains Hiromori Mori, Niterra Technical Assistance Consultant.

 ;

Mori lists the three main risks of the driver not performing the change of a level sensor with irregular operation:

1) Running out of fuel: Stopping for lack of fuel is an average traffic infraction and generates a number of inconveniences. Hardly the driver will be able to park in a favorable and safe place for the vehicle to be removed from the road. Other fuel-related threats are buying it in unknown locations and having to acquire the appropriate container to transport it;

2) Not recognizing the fuel type change: Older flexible vehicles need fueling information to open the fuel learning window. Without that reference, The car may not recognize a fuel type change, leading to departure problems, Especially with the cold engine, occurrence of failures and increased consumption;

3) Interference with on-board computer data: for more modern cars, The lack of fuel level information makes the calculation difficult, for example, of autonomy and average consumption, which are very useful on trips to plan the stopping points along the way.

Launch of other types of sensors

In addition to the fuel level sensor, Niterra has prepared six other sensor models that come to the market as novelties: coolant temperature; rotation; speed; ABS; TPS (butterfly position); and MAP (absolute pressure). "The launch package will enable solid and robust market gains, since we always value the manufacture of products with a high level of embedded technology", says José Eduardo de Souza, Head of Marketing at Niterra. "The segment was looking for other lines with the same quality and reliability delivered by NTK's oxygen sensors. Now that wait is over.", Celebrates.

In April, CERÂMICA E VELAS DE IGNIÇÃO NGK DO BRASIL LTDA had its corporate name changed to NITERRA DO BRASIL LTDA, making official the decision of its shareholders, taken about a year ago, to rename the group.
