With strong participation in projects of the main vehicle manufacturers installed in Brazil, and NGK, biggest candle maker, ignition cables and oxygen sensors of the world, has been supplying components to General Motors for more than five decades. A GM, which completes 90 years in the country this month, was the first to use the NGK components produced at the Mogi das Cruzes plant (SP). Throughout this period, The company has received several awards from the automaker, such as Supplier of The Year Award it's the Supplier Quality Excellence Award, that recognizes its suppliers for excellence in quality.
"The partnership of more than 50 uninterrupted years between NGK and GM is a source of satisfaction and pride. Attests to the quality of our products, contributing to the company's leadership position", guarantees Gilberto Maeda, OEM Sales Manager at NGK do Brasil. "100% of the spark plugs of the automaker's vehicles in Brazil are from NGK. We also supply ignition cables, oxygen sensors and knock sensors".
When it arrived in Brazil, in 1959, NGK had the challenge of surpassing the companies already established in the country, and supply original products to automakers. To achieve this goal, implemented the same production and efficiency processes at its plant in Mogi das Cruzes as the Japanese headquarters, Meeting all the technical requirements of the sector with excellence.

Fiat, Ford and Volkswagen are also supplied by NGK, as well as the other automakers installed in the country. And the parts intended for the aftermarket are the same as those offered to the original market, with the same production processes and quality.
