With the emergence of electronics embedded in vehicles, NGK developed, in the late 70's, resistive spark plugs that have a ceramic resistor, capable of attenuating electromagnetic interference caused by the ignition system.
They are widely used in older vehicle tuning projects allowing the use of electronic equipment without generating interference such as programmable injection systems.
