The function of ignition wires is to conduct the electrical current from the transformer to the spark plugs, distributing the electric current in the correct order of ignition of the engine. This current is of low intensity, But the electrical voltage needed to generate the spark in the spark plug is high, that is, among 20.000 and 30.000 volts.

NGK ignition cables are produced with the same technology and materials developed to supply the main assembly machines in Brazil. NGK do Brasil supplies the original national market, conquering the preferences of large automakers over decades.

All cables produced by NGK do Brasil are of the resistive type. The ignition cable resistor has the function of reducing the noise generated by the operation of the ignition system itself, thus avoiding interference with the vehicle's electronic systems, such as:

- Electronic fuel injection; - Sound System; - Anti-theft system (Alarms, Blockers and trackers); - Automatic transmission with electronic control; - Electronic traction and stability control; - ABS and AIRBAG system; - CAN Network; - Electronically controlled air conditioning;

NGK has two types of ignition cables on the market, SC type cables and ST type cables.

SC type cables:

This cable has as its main characteristic the electrical resistance along the wire (Cable).

Cabo Tipo SC ST type cable: This cable has as its main characteristic the electrical resistance in the terminals. Cabo Tipo ST
