NGK expands spark plug portfolio

Aiming at greater replacement coverage through competitive prices in the market, company makes new sails available for BMW, GM, Land Rover, Mercedes and Toyota

São Paulo, November 2022 - A NGK, world leader in the spark plug segment, announces the expansion of its production and launches of spark plugs that entered its portfolio in the second half of 2022. Reinforcing its challenges of always providing the highest coverage of the aftermarket and offering the sector a wide range of products of the highest quality, the company places the new automotive replacement components in a national distribution through its extensive network of distributors in the country.

The new candles make up the Laser Iridium line, according to which vehicles already come out of the assembly line with iridium candles. How it comes to modern engines, The products have some special features: are longer threaded long sails to suit the motor head design and with thinner threads, whose tightening torque is differentiated, recommended to use the torque wrench.

Candles are divided into three types:

• Iridium/Platinum: on the side electrode, there's a double platinum ship;
• Iridium/Platinum square type: the platinum ship, located in the corner of the electrode, reduces energy losses;
• Iridium/Platinum double type thin tip: in this model, there are two thin tips - one of iridium, other platinum, that improve the ignition of the candle.
