NGK is ranked among General Motors' top 20 suppliers

A NGK, biggest candle maker, ignition cables and oxygen sensors of the world, was recognized among the best suppliers of 2012 by General Motors do Brasil. This was the first edition of the GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award, global award created as a form of recognition for its suppliers with excellence in performance and quality. The Supplier Quality Excellence Award is a new award also held in Europe, North America and Asia that symbolizes a specific recognition of the Quality of the supplied products, with strict criteria and very strict evaluation, seeking to improve the quality level of the supply chain. The awards offered by GM are global and took place at GM factories in North America, South America (GM of Brazil), Europe and Asia, adding 10 more.000 analyzed suppliers. Among the more than 500 suppliers of GM do Brasil, Only 20 companies met all the requirements, among them NGK do Brasil. The evaluation takes into account the assembler's quality indicator (defective parts on the assembly line), ISO/TS and QSB certification, have no interruption in the assembly line, no controlled delivery and also no field complaints (car with problem at the dealership), during the twelve-month period – June 2011 to June 2012. Traditionally, General Motors performs the Supplier of the Year, honoring the main highlights among the suppliers of each year and taking into account several other items in addition to Quality. "This global and unprecedented award granted by General Motors means the automaker's recognition that NGK is meeting the stringent technical requirements of excellence and collaborating to raise the quality level of its vehicles, so that they are the most desired by customers.
