NGK is awarded by General Motors for the third consecutive time

A NGK, biggest candle maker, ignition cables and oxygen sensors of the world, was recognized by General Motors do Brasil as one of the excellent suppliers in quality, For the third consecutive time. The third edition of GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award awarded 55 companies, in five categories.

“The more than 50-year partnership between NGK and GM is a case successful. We are very proud of the award, that recognizes our efforts to meet all the technical requirements of the automaker with excellence. Initiatives like this foster better and better practices, collaborating to raise the level of vehicles and encouraging industry to improve its production processes ”, evaluates Gilberto Maeda, OEM Sales Manager at NGK do Brasil.

O GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award It is a global award, that also happens in Europe, North and Asia America and contemplates suppliers who fulfill the quality criteria of the automaker, How to have ISO/TS and QSB certifications (Quality System Basic). Provide components within the required quality metrics, have proper program management system and not cause interruption in the assembly line or recall in the last twelve months, among other specific quality criteria, are considered in the evaluation.

NGK is among the 55 best GM suppliers in Brazil in 2014, in the Powertrain category. In the Mogi das Cruzes plant, The company manufactures its products with patterns identical to those of the matrix in Japan and meets several international reference parameters, which enables it to supply automakers around the world.
