A NGK, biggest candle maker, ignition cables and oxygen sensors of the world, was recognized by General Motors do Brasil as one of the best quality suppliers in 2013. This was the second edition of GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award, Global award created to highlight companies with excellence in quality. NGK do Brasil was contemplated in both editions.
O Supplier Quality Excellence Award is also held in Europe, North America and Asia, with strict evaluation criteria, Seeking continuous improvement of the quality level of the supply chain. In this year, 35 awards were awarded, of the 360 suppliers of the automaker in the country, that took into account the quality indicators (defective parts on the assembly line), ISO/TS and QSB certification, Interruption in the assembly line, No controlled shipment (items subject to analysis before entering the production line) and no field complaint (problems pointed out by the consumer), during the period from July 2012 to June 2013.
"The GM award, for the second year, proves that NGK meets, with levels of excellence, to the strict technical requirements and collaborates to raise the quality of its renewed line of vehicles. Furthermore, The cohesion in the partnership with the automaker increases our responsibility to always seek the highest performance", says Tadao Gushiken, Quality Assurance Manager at NGK do Brasil.
