By combining the Latin words niteo and terra, what do they mean, respectively, “shine” and “planet earth”, the name Niterra expresses the group's commitment to contribute to a more sustainable society and a brighter planet. Niterra became the global name, while the NGK brands (automotive components) this NTK (Sensors) were retained for both businesses.
